further Goonies update, where are they now…..

Written on December 30th in movies, Blog

I have decided to do a where are they now and what have they done kind of thing with the Goonies cast, I was looking into it and thought you all might be interested.
Only pictures for those that i don’t have pictures of in the last goonies update
hope you enjoy as i did

Mouth — we will skip the drug thing, and we all know he went on to be a pretty popular teen actor, but I didn’t know:
he is now married with 1 kid
he was the voice of Donatello in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie
he is often on the Howard Stern show
he divorced his parents, (I don’t know why)
he released a hip hop single “honesty” in 1993 — it didn’t do too well

Mikey — played the brother in 50 First Dates,
and Sam in Lord of the Rings (looking like he’d eaten several cookies since goonies)

Brand — he is the stepson of Barbra Streisand,
was engaged to Minnie Driver, though that didn’t work,
he is now married to Diane Lane, and has 2 kids from a previous marriage
and he won the 24th annual celebrity race in CA in 2000 beating George Lucas

Chunk — he is now an entertainment lawyer in Los Angeles, CA
he was the president of the Associated Students of UC Berkeley
and he did the “truffle shuffle” on the sidelines during games —

Andy — she has been in a few tv shows including ER and Mad About You

Data — was in Encino Man, and assisted in fighting and action chereography in X-Men and Jet Li’s The One –cool — way to go Data

Stef — was in Parenthood and 200 Cigarettes among several other films and plays
she dated River Phoenix
and currently donates her time to the 52nd Street Project, which matches inner-sity kids with porfessional theater artists and helps them with making their own plays etc — good job Stef

The Fratelli brothers:
Francis the younger one was Cypher in The Matrix, also in Daredevil, Congo, Bad Boys 1 and 2, and the Fugitive
as well as appearances in several tv shows
divorced with 3 kids and currently remarried with 1 more kid

Jake the escaped prisoner:
was in Showgirls and The Hot Chick, as well as several tv appearances such as The Pretender and Stargate Atlantis
jake

Sloth — it took 5 hours to do his make-up, the misplaced eye was mechanically operated off-screen and they had to time his blinking with the fake eye
he has since passed away, but was in tv shows such as Miami Vice, M*A*S*H, and Dukes of Hazzard
he was an 6′ 8″ and an ex-football player for the Oakland Raiders, which is the shirt Sloth is wearing later on in the movie
sloth''

“ANDY —- YOU GOONIE!!!!!!”
troy''
Troy mostly does stunts, such as: (uncredited) he did a dance stunt for Screech in Saved by the Bell: Hawaiian Style

and of course poor Rosalita:
she is doing very well, lots of tv and some movies, and looking very well also,
she was Nora Manning in As Good As It Gets, and was also in Selena, most recently Juanita Solis in Desperate Housewives
rosalita''

reoccuring nightmares

Written on December 30th in Blog, random polls

so i have this reoccuring odd nightmare where all my teeth fall out, my mother and i had an ongoing joke about it, but since then i have found 1 or 2 people who have the same reoccuring nightmare, and in one of the episodes of “Lost” Charlie said he had a nightmare where he was on a bus and all his teeth fell out
so i’m thinking now, maybe it isn’t just me, i also have giant alligator nightmares often, and yes it was before i ever saw Lake Placid,
I am not even very afraid of alligators, (i wouldn’t want to swim with them or anyhing, but..) when i was living in South Florida i went with a group a couple of times on a 15 mile bike trail (Shark Valley — don’t ask me why “shark” when it is gators, but alas) where it is about a 5 foot wide trail without any barriers and on each side are marsh and swamp and gators, we even came to a part where you only had about a foot of space because one was splayed out on the path sun bathing, and i was fine with all of this — so why the giant gator nightmare–beats me

so now my question is this, do you have any reoccuring nightmares???

now i mean like the giant gator or your teeth falling out, anything really scary or horrible keep between you and your psychiatrist, so click on the title of this post to vote on this subject and comment if you’d like (oh oh — please comment) but comment before voting or you’ve lost your chance

fish :)

Written on December 30th in Blog, journal

so today during schooltime, i was teaching Dahlia about housepets, a little bit about the animals that you have as housepets, and we decided that we would get a beta fish
while we were at the pet store the helpful and very nice man showed me a few options of beta homes, well one was a complete 2 gallon kit with pump, and filter, and everything, and he said i could put up to 4 fish in it — so we went with that :)
so now i have a beta and 3 little fish, plus i am going to get 3 or 4 little shrimp (Jacque from Finding Nemo) too cute

well at bedtime we were reading a book about a fish and the fish was named Otto, so one of them is Otto, then the redish fish was swimming like crazy around the bubbles so in honor of Bubbles from Finding Nemo, we named him Bubbles, whcih has been updated to Bubbly, Dahlia was given the oppurtunity to name the other 2, she chose Watery for the beta, and Rocky for the other one, so that is why bubbles was changed to bubbLY

not sure why she chose either name, but i found it very cute
yeah fish and pets

Did you like the New Kids on the Block?

Written on December 27th in Blog, random polls

ok so i was browsing music on itunes and whatnot, (i got a free $10 itunes giftcard for doing all those surveys) anyway, i found new kids on the block, and lostening to them brought back so many, 90’s memories, and (i am embarassed to admit) was great fun to hear again
i also listened to MC Hammer, Can’t Touch This, at the same time — also BIG FUN!!!

step by step —- oooohhh baaabaaay

hangin tough — whoa, get on the floor and do the new kids dance

and they actually say “we’re rough” soo much fun
if you have itunes, really really –go listen –good times :)

To the guys Thomas works with:
i tried to get him to get one of the songs and randomly play it at work and sing along to see how you’d react — but boring boy wouldn’t do it — just said, and i quote, “ugh”

then i went and remembered a picture my mother has of me when i was about 11 standing in front of a new kids poster looking like i thought i was the coolest thing around for liking them enough to have a poster,
when i get this picture i will scan in it for your laughing pleasure

anyway i guess i feel the same way about them that most girls are going to feel about the backstreet boys and N’ Sync in 15 years

but now i want to know what you think, please share your thoughts
