trees and more plants :)

Written on November 15th in Blog

found some great sites for plants, trees ,and bulbs
got dwarf McIntosh apple, dwarf gala apple, dwarf plum, and dwarf nectarine, plus a raspberry plant, and a wisteria tree from autumnridge.com—-each tree was only like $9 — all shipping within 72 hours, or whenever you want -you can put in a specific week

and a BUNCH of stuff from directgardening.com all excelent prices, mostly not shipping until spring though :(

and michiganbulb.com small bulbs but super cheap

and my mother-in-law recommended plantranch from ebay, i got a everbearing winter hardy hanging strawberry plant, another raspberry, grape, and beautyberry which i love, all also very good prices

i love having so much space to garden - finally, been in apartments and rentals for so long that i wasn’t really allowed or didn’t have much space–now we do, still a rental (for now) but allowed to do pretty much whatever to the yard :)

our house got painted

Written on November 10th in Blog

doing TONS of work in the yard, found awesome deals at Lowe’s — trees were 75% off,
i got a weeping cherry for $6, a dwarf peach for $3.12, a cleveland pear for $3, and a kwanzan cherry for $4, WOO!! :)
and really good deals at michiganbulb.com i recommend buying bulbs from there–they are little but ought to work, the plants were all VERY little or just bareroots, i guess i will know buy summer if they’ll make it, but it was all super cheap

i put shelves in the little shed and am going to make it a cottage style potters shed

and as the title of this suggests the house got painted, which it needed desparatly, a cute pale yellow with green trim

loved the leave changes –BEAUTIFUL i LOVE it here soooooo much

strawberry picking

Written on November 10th in Blog

in june or july we went strawberry picking about 3 miles from our house
me in my goofiness and excitedness about it dressed the part, my overalls and red shirt with a straw hat, and Dahlia in her red shirt with a strawberry on it

Dahlia brought a bucket that has strawberry shortcake on it

summer picking some

back home after about a half an hour hard work :)
